He Turned A 700 Year-Old Cave Into A Dream Home… Wait Till You See The Kitchen.

This is Angelo Mastropietro, the man who turned The Rockhouse from an ancient cave to a luxury retreat. - He Turned A 700 Year-Old Cave Into A Dream Home… Wait Till You See The Kitchen.

It's not every day that you see someone rehabilitate a property that's almost 700 years old, but that's exactly what owner Angelo Mastropietro did with The Rockhouse, an incredible cave that goes back centuries.

Mastropietero turned the rural Worcestshire cave into a unique and absolutely breathtaking retreat, set against three acres of lush woodlands. The site was deserted in 1962, reverting back to its natural state -- until, of course, Mastropietero got ahold of it in 2015. What he's done with the place is absolutely brilliant. Check out your next vacation destination below.

Mastropietro came across the site after sheltering there during a rainstorm in 1999. He bought it at auction in 2010.

He moved all the rubble by hand (about 70-80 tons), and made sure that fresh running water is piped into the space from a bore hole.
