2. Windsor Castle

One of the oldest royal palaces in the world – the castle houses royal family for almost 1000 years. And you get the chance to visit it, to see the royal apartments during a 2-3 hours tour. 3. Kensington Palace and Gardens

A royal residence is an official residence of Prince William and Duchess Kate. It is open for the visits, where various exhibitions are open. In the gardens an artificial lake, walkways, various plants offer a beautiful retreat from the city’s hustle and bustle.

4. London Eye

Situated on the South Bank of the River Thames, London Eye became one of the most famous landmarks in the city as soon as it was opened in 2000. 135 m (443 ft) tall it is the tallest Ferris wheel in Europe. The wonderful panorama opens in a 30 minutes revolution.

5. Natural History Museum

The museum exhibits 70 million items! Some of them are collected by Charles Darwin himself. The dinosaur skeletons are among the most famous exhibits. And the architecture of the building is indeed impressive: it enhances the greatness of science.

6. Tower Bridge

Built in the 19th century, this is one of the most famous bridges in the world. The towers are open for the visits: besides of panorama of London, the exhibitions are interesting to see. 7. St Paul’s Cathedral

The assignment to build a new cathedral was commissioned after the Great Fire of London, which destroyed the Old St Paul’s. The 111 m (365 ft) high dome is one of the tallest in the world and available to climb where a breathtaking panorama opens. The beautiful site is a recognizable landmark in London and definitely not to miss.

8. Thames River Cruise

This is one of the greatest ways to see more of London besides London Eye and bus tours. The tour passes some of the most famous sites: Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Canary Wharf among others. The visitors can choose from many different routes.

9. Tate Modern

The most visited modern art gallery in the world, Tate Modern houses works of art from year 1500 to the present day. Opened in 1897 the gallery offers a diverse collection of works – the visit here promises a truly quality time. The Millennium Bridge links the city with the Bankside, where Tate Modern is situated.

There are some world famous department stores in London – one of the best places to go shopping. Harrods in Knightsbridge offers variety of goods since 1834. Find more luxurious garment in the West End at Liberty’s. Selfridges is the second biggest store after Harrods, opened in 1909 in Oxford Street, often called the world’s best department store.
